RackStarz Vehicle Rack & Hitch is opening its third location in Manhattan Beach this summer, after a successful start with two locations in the outdoor playground of Colorado. The South Bay region is a natural extension of the RackStarz brand, with it’s renowned, year-round access to some of the best surf locales in the country, climbing and cycling communities, and surrounding parks like the San Gabriel Mountains and Angeles National Forest.

Outdoorsmen, brothers, and RackStarz owners Nick and John were born and raised in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. They eventually moved to the West Coast to build, manage, and own numerous vehicle rack and hitch stores locations, across two major brands, in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Berkeley, Portland, Boston, and their native Denver. Together, they’ve racked up a combined 35 years of experience in the industry.

“Los Angeles was in the cards from Day One. This is home for me, but we’ve also been in this market before and we love this city for its incredible, active lifestyle. It’s a perfect fit for our brand and I believe we’re a solid fit for the South Bay. In fact, we’re moving into Aviation Cyclery’s old space, a cycling shop that’s been in the community of Manhattan Beach since 1963. It’s humbling to be in such a historic location, but fitting, since we’re here to build a legacy of our own.” - John Bullion, Owner

“We started by opening two locations in two of the most outdoors-oriented markets in North America, in under a year. We’re beyond excited with our progress in Colorado alone. With John leading the charge into our second home of California, we’re taking our business to the next level, and to a place that’s near and dear to us. We have big plans for our small business, and California will play an important part in our growth.” - Nick Bullion, Owner
